Ship of Heroes has an bright future ahead....
But as an game designer i have one little question about instancing in this game...
Lot's of MMO's (Like the recent Superhero MMO DCUO) have an problem with instances.
The way they work is that instances are meant for players from level/combat rating from (example) 5-15.
In alot of these MMO's sometimes there isn't just enough players of specific level to even ENTER the instance.
Does anyone know how developers of SoH will tackle this problem?

Re: Instancing
The next area being worked on is the instanced mission area, so concrete details will likely be available soon, but I'd be incredibly surprised if it didn't work like the CoH instancing - you get given a mission to a door, and when you enter you're in your own private instance (your own = team, obviously).
It's a much smaller scale instancing system, and I think most people felt it worked really well. A few other games have had similar schemes like Anarchy Online.

Re: Instancing
Jester i have read in the forms that is what the Dev's are going for is a private instance for team play ... a possible slider bar for the team leader to pick how easy or hard ...

Re: Instancing
You guys are exactly right. The instancing we are developing is for players or team to get to specific missions that have, and want to complete. It's not a general method for allowing some of the population to go to a different map. It's much more specific, and therefore more flexible, than that.

And hopefully it will also allow teams of wildly disparate levels to function together via sidekicking/mentoring/zone-normalization (perhaps like what GW2 does)? You guys are exactly right. Re: Instancing , new mission suggestion
Hello Dev's ---- got a open map mission I'd like to suggest
you get a message over your CEI ( communication ear-implant )about Nag's stopping the a.n.t.s. ( automated nano trucking service ) trucking system and stealing the goods ...after accepting the mission you have to start out crafting several items ...you them are allowed to place you crafted items on the ant and ship these crafted items to its destination .... the real mission will be to follow ... escort / protect the a.n.t. from ambushes all the way to the destination, ... that is randomly picked from several set routes buy the computer and ... you have no idea what street baddies you'll have to encounter along the way...and also the Nag's that are attacking the a.n.t.s. looking for the goodies can attack at any time , any where along the route... at the end you the DEV's will decide what to be the reward .

Like it ! The rarer the items crafted, the more difficult the foes. Reward could be the items crafted
