Stan Lee has Passed
Legendary Stan Lee has passed.
The Marvel characters he created were central to my childhood. And his contribution to shaping the entire superhero genre would be hard to overstate.
RIP, Stan. And thank you.

Don't look at it as a tragedy. Stan Lee got to spend most of his 95+ years doing the thing he loved. Yes, it is sad that he is gone, but damn... his life was full of good stuff. How many people can look back on their years and say, "I spent at least parts of 9 decades making lots of people smile.'
George Burns and Stan Lee. He is in very rare company.
He started writing comics in the late 30s in his teens, so; 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00's 10's

Re: Stan Lee has Passed
Yeah. That sounds like a great idea. Or maybe 'Stanley's Park' because he sometimes went by the name Stanley in cameo appearances. Something with the name Stanley, Lee, Stan the Man, Smilin' Stan or Excelsior sounds good.Eulb

Re: Stan Lee has Passed
The works and fantasies of Stan Lee have accopanied me from my childhood (comics) to my retirement (movies).
Many thanks for that.

Mr Lee
Thank you for what you created. It wasn't just a universe of flying men and women. It was a universe of flawed creatures that triumphed despite having a day job and rent to pay. It was a universe that contained heroes and heroines that protected those that hated them because they were different. It was a universe that talked about issues like drug addiction when the US government censors didn't want the media to do this because it might 'encourage it'. It was a universe where an African nation could be one of the most advanced on the planet.
Thank you, Mr Lee, for all you gave to a very lonely outcast who gave up his lunch money so he could explore your universe, and to millions of others who also escaped to a universe where relatable, flawed men and women were willing to risk their lives to protect their fellow citizen.
RIP

Back to in-game aspects. I like the park idea, and I think it should be placed on Excelsior Way or Excelsior Boulevard. An alternative is for it to be bordered by Excelsior Circle (if it was a circular park).

Re: Stan Lee has Passed
I am saddened. But as I look back to how much joy he brought to so many, he left an amazing legacy. There are more characters than I can count that he had a hand in bringing to life through comics. As a kid I would make lists of all the heroes and villains I could find stories or mention of so I could practice drawing them myself. And I will say that diversity and acceptance of those different from yourself was a common theme that spoke to me as a child.
I used to look up some of the uncommon words in the dictionary in order to be sure I knew what was being said. Which I feel really helped my vocabulary.
As a kid I rarely read Stan’s column which was in many of not every issue. As I got older, I started reading and looking forward to his column almost as much as the comic itself. He definitely had a way with words and enjoyed giving teasers for other titles and upcoming special issues.
I cant help but feel saddened. Because when it comes to our real life heroes, it is always too soon for us to see them pass. We are never really ready for it even though we know that their time has come.
Yes, please leave room for some kind of place to recognize him in game. I feel it’s a small thing we could all enjoy visiting and reminiscing. Perhaps even a “True Believer” badge for visiting the site?
Excelsior! R.I.P. True Believer. ‘Nuff said.

It doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world were as it should be, to show it what it can be.
