I don’t want to come off as being too critical of a game still in development. I have been following the efforts for a few years now. The main thing keeping me from being more excited about this game is that the animations seem very unrealistic, and a lot of the UI elements don’t look like a game being developed in 2020.
When watching the videos, character animations and effects seem very uninspired. The movements don’t really look realistic in that the player is interacting with the environment. They seem floaty and blocky, not very super-hero at all. It really puts me off from being more involved in the game.
Also the UI doesn’t look very flashy. Basic text fonts and boxes seem to describe the UI at this point. Looks very dated.
Are there any efforts to supe-up these aspects of the game? Are the animations and UI still on the drawing board? I’d like to hear that these are just placeholders for more involved developments down the line. Again I apologize if I offend anyone. This is of course my personal opinion and I don’t want to ruin anyone’s enjoyment of this project. I am interested enough to put this question out there and see if I should hold off with my judgments until the game is more polished.
Thanks.

The big problem is money. Yes, the team would like to sharpen up the animations, and many of the effects are bare bones right now. But a lot of that is going to require specialists to improve, and that's going to take money.
The team made it very clear before the event they just had that the game had a ways to go. They said a lot of the animations were unfinished, or borrowed from other powers. They were just trying to get something out there for people to play.
They have lots of plans for the game, including a supporters beta. They will be charging the monthly fee when that starts. They won't get to that point until the game is a lot further along. But once that starts and they have some notable income, the game should improve its fit and finish drastically.

Can you cite a few MMOs made for the PS in which you like the animations and UI?
Examples are very helpful.
But please limit to MMO's or at least to multiplayer games.
