There's an old Computer Science story about a student who had to re-write his class project because he lost his punch cards (it's an old story). He found that having to re-write from scratch was a different problem than starting out.
He started adding all kinds of new things, since he knew how to do it this time. And it got so complicated, that he failed in getting it to work.
So he started out again. And this time, he did *only* what was necessary, without any fancy bells and whistles. And this one worked.
The moral of the story: the 1st time you try, you fail because you don't know what you are doing. The 2nd time you try, you still fail because you think you know what you are doing and try to do too much.
The third time is the charm. You know what to do, how to do it, and most importantly, can focus only on what is absolutely necessary. That is what I hope is happening with SoH. Just do what is absolutely necessary for the game, and don't go off on tangents trying to do too much.
