Fly back to starter zone and give that level 8 boss payback for defeating you all those levels ago.
Do your first Max level mission.
Something else, you’ll tell us in the forums.

Me? I will woot in guild chat and local chat, then get to work!

Time to review my augments and reset my toolbars.
Time to get my level 25 or so stuff.
Time to reorganize my attack chains.
Time to fluff my costume.
And then, once this is all done, it is time to grab my other level capped friends and do the first level cap mission arc!

I voted for doing the next character but I think that is only half the fact.
Of course when having reached max level I too would first optimize my character however that will eventually look like.
And of course I would look around, if I can help another SG partner levelling too.
But it definitely would make me create the next character as fast as possible

Getting to the max level was never important to me. I made many toons and would bounce around from one to another depending on my mood. I have to say I was with CoH from Beta and I never got a toon to level 50. My highest was 48. Many factors contributed to this. I mostly solo played but did team from time to time. Didn't really do many task forces. That for sure would have gotten me there quicker. I didn't care. i liked trying out the different power combinations, RPing, chatting with other players.

you definitely are right - the lvl is not important - the way is
And of course trying out is more fun than reaching the finish
still if I am allowed to mention it - that is a what if universe here so "What if - Warhead would actually reach the max lvl?"

When I first started playing CoH, a max level character swooped down and gave a couple of us level one's some influence and gear. That was the moment I knew I was in the right place. When I hit max level I'm going to find some players new to the game and pay it forward.

That experience was about 15 minutes into the game. The hero also took a couple of us around and showed us the different contacts and vendors and led us to the sewers for our first mission. If I could find the real person I would shake his hand and thank him personally. That type of community interaction is what made CoH great and I'll do all I can to do the same with SoH.

EVEN THOUGH they added options, my choice does not change - other

I will;

1 - Tell my SG and try to organize some help for my first level cap mission.
2 - go into my inventory and slot out my shiny new stuff that has been waiting for me to level cap.
3 - Verify my shiny new build by street sweeping
4 - Join my SG-mates for a fun filled time in my first mission as THA DOOD...

i would kill my first ax level boss then optiimise my character then make another character. thats what i do on most mmorpgs that i play.

When I played City of Heroes, it took me a long time to max out a character because I varied among playing many different alts. When I eventually hit 50 (after some years) I continued doing late-game missions (typically Portal missions in the time before Incarnates) together with the level 45+ crowd for a while.

This was the same thing I had done in Dark Age of Camelot, so I expect it will be the same here, if I live long enough to max out a character here. A level 10 can help out a level 8, but tanking for the 45+ team is best done by a 50. So will probably do that for a while, as others have done for me.
