Keybindings are scrambled.

Postby PC_Ferret » Sat Nov 02, 2019 4:42 am

I am reposting this here because no one is responding in Other forum. :(
I cannot get the keybindings the way I want them. Also, the Reset Keybindings does not work.

what I am trying to accomplish is:

Forward: W
Backward: S
Turn Left: A
Turn Right: D
Strafe Left: Q
Strafe Right: E

If anyone has any suggestions for getting this to work, I'd be appreciative. This was not a problem in CoH.

Sorry, we did see this the first time and this issue has been assigned to a coder who will look at it beginning tomorrow (Monday). But for me, WSDA all work as described out of the box.

Strafe left and right was not coded, or so I'm told, but we can add it.

In addition to the keybinding issue, I posted (in the wrong area) how I can't assign the movement keys to the controller, accept for the jump feature. It does connect to the right joystick of the controller, but nothing else works. Now, i haven't gamed on pc since COH and used a logitech controller then, as this one is a xbox for pc controller. Maybe, there's a compatibility issue, but I'm thinking the keybind is the issue.
Also, with the keyboard attached and while using fly, the space bar does not allow me to go up. Lastly, if we are stuck in a particular part of the map, is there a way to be reset somewhere?

For the main map, teleport should take you to the area under the Arch as long as you are not moving.

Teleport is not a real travel power right now, but it is a proto-power, added to the Beta to be an emergency option.

Thank you very much! Is there somewhere I can send you my email or SMS address in case you need more info from me.
Note: I have seen both Turn Left/Right under the Q and E keys (rotate on vertical axis) and also Strafe Left/Right (Sidestepping) associated to A and D. It almost acts like there's a difference in function for the Left/Right keys depending on which COLUMN (Key 1, Key 2) the keys are coded.
Strafe left and right was not coded, or so I'm told, but we can add it.
I need to point out that I am seeing strafe left and right with the A and D keys.
