We could get further and display "name1" for costume slot 1 and "name2" for costume slot 2.
So you can walk around as the civilian Peter Parker or the superhero Spiderman. 8-)

Honestly if you want to have a costume switch emote, I'm okay with that I just want a second set of taskbars to pop up at the click of a button. a costume swap when you click would be a cool addition for when you do swap. call it build 2 or civilian mode. I don't care. your character is still the same Hero with all the same enhancements and powers just the clothing is different and maybe your special effects have been shut off. civilians don't glow... well unless they are radioactive.

I feel like this is better left without a system-imposed restriction and rather just being something for the player to decide on, typically for RP purposes.
So a player's character may have a "civilian" outfit and then decide whether or not they'd use their powers in that mode based on backstory, for instance:

1. No power usage: good for characters that need to transform/gear up to use their powers, eg: Hulk, Shazam, All Might
2. Limited power usage: good for characters trying to maintain a secret identity but sneaking abilities while incognito, eg: Peter Parker, Clark Kent
3. Normal power usage: good for characters whose identities are known, or simply aren't concerned with secrecy, eg: Dr Strange, Saitama

It's just up to the player to decide if they want to use the abilities when in that mode or if they want to do a costume change first. Having a mode option that let's you change what is on your quickbars could be useful (like WoW talent switching has it's own bars)

that's right WoW had something similar for different builds. I don't want to go as far as that. but that's the idea.

As an update, let me reveal that each day we have been building versions of the game that are meant to show us how a CCT Beta would perform. Then we play with them and find problems (this is normal). Then we set about fixing the problems.

So we have some stuff to fix the hospital, we have an improvement to the server structure, and we have morphs on some of the costume pieces, on our to-do list.

If we can manage it, we have a couple of new big guy costumes to add to the CCT.

And we decided to add clickable buttons to the CCT on either side of each slider. If you are wondering why, well we think it makes things easier if you have a slider with 46 preset female faces, and you are after number 7, but you keep dragging the slider and getting either 6 or 8, to be able to click to the exact one that you wanted.

Who knew that clickable buttons on slider is actually a big deal? But it is. Frotunately, it will be done by tomorrow.

We've been waiting for an EPIC fix to the day/night plugin. If a fix doesn't appear in the next few days, we'll just manually set the time for the afternoon and run the Beta without day/night. Not perfect, but we are frustrated to be waiting and missing a deadline that is actually out of our control.

Fortunately, you all got to see the day/night during the Login Test, so you know it is cool.

Those buttons are one of those things you don't really consider until you've done the slippy-slide past the option you liked a few times :lol:
