crypto currencies

Postby indigowulf » Sat Nov 03, 2018 1:01 pm

Initiative Q is an attempt by ex-PayPal guys to create a new payment system instead of credit cards that were designed in the 1950s. The system uses its own currency, the Q, and to get people to start using the system once it's ready they are allocating Qs for free to people that sign up now (the amount drops as more people join - so better to join early). Signing up is free and they only ask for your name and an email address. There's nothing to lose but if this payment system becomes a world leading payment method your Qs can be worth a lot. If you missed getting bitcoin seven years ago, you wouldn't want to miss this.

Here is my invite link: https://initiativeq.com/invite/rVgJq93d27

This link will stop working once I’m out of invites. Let me know after you registered, because I need to verify you on my end.
I wonder if this will take off and become a real thing.. if it does, will games like SoH ever accept crypto currencies?

I'm always cynical about these kind of things - invite links make me instantly suspicious.

If it's listed on exchanges it'll get pumped and dumped, making the creators money.

It's free to sign up, doesn't ask for a lot of info (no bank/cc info) takes about 15 seconds to sign up if you sign in via facebook. I figure 15 seconds is basically nothing, if it fails oh well, if it succeeds, woohoo!

That’s why I’ve been holding off on this I am not willing to give any personal information about something I’m not sure about

They literally didn't ask any more info than it takes to sign up with fb lol. Name, birthday, a username and pw (1 click fb sign in)
Not trying to change anyones mind, but I was surprised how little they asked.

With all the security breaches and loss of user account information happening with Facebook over the last two years I can't see why anyone would want to link outside accounts with them at the current time.
How many people telling the same lie does it take for that lie to become true?

Cash was almost always safe. Digital cash, never so.
