The Kickstarter is now Live. Things look pretty good as I write this -- Kicktraq is predicting success for the Kickstarter, although from a very narrow base of information (less than six hours). But we are just 4% funded at this moment in time.

Wow, I wish I could channel Captain America in the Winter Soldier -- that was a great speech before the big final battle. all I can say is that the time is now. We need to make this happen.

I'm super excited about all of this! Been lurking for a while, but when I woke up this morning I saw that the Kickstarter had gone live minutes before... and pledged so fast that I got my Kickstarter pledge confirmation email before the Kickstarter is live email.

Today is super exciting.

I've already posted the kickstarter into my SG facebook page. They're currently in ESO, but they've been foaming for a new Hero game that captured the community and feel of CoH.

Questions; Why does the page linked, say funding is cancelled?
Can you change the Spacehero in the KS header, to Superheroic? I'm seeing a some negativity from a few folks that are anti-Spaceship/SciFi, that caused some concern.

Monthly recurring is a pretty great idea - this is going to be a subscription game anyway, right? Any more information on this?

In order to set up recurring donations we have to pay a bunch of money up front for the wordpress application. We also have to pay to re-code the functions on the website. We're not keen to do that.

We want every dollar to go towards development, and as little as possible go towards gathering the money in.

You're not wrong in your decision! This may seem like a stupid question, but I'm assuming donations are cumulative? One could donate $10 here and $10 there, and build up to the higher donor levels?

correct. they do accumulate. if you donate 10 now then another 10 next week you will have a total of 20 donated. so you don't have to donate all at once to become a Founder, Veteran or Super teammate, etc... you will get there as long as you keep donating.
