In City of Heroes, they used something I have not seen in any other MMO. They used Sound Effect Stacking and Amplification. Basically what would happen, is when using an AoE, Cone or otherwise, the sound effect that was used for said power, would stack depending on the number of enemies hit. So if you hit 20 enemies, the sound would stack 20 times and amplify...making it sound incredibly real. It was extremely immersive and made you feel like you were really there. Of course one the Devs of that game put a limit on to how many targets a power would hit (which I disagree with...taunt aggro limit is one thing, but power interaction limit is overdoing it IMHO.) it really stole away from the effect and wasn't quite the same after.
So my question to the Devs is, is it possible for you guys to implement such a design? If so, have you considered doing so?

Here you go, prime example. He is using Energy Melee Whirling Hands. You notice the way it sounds is stacked and amplified...really made it sound VERY powerful. Loved it!Sounds like a great idea to me.

I actually had no idea this was a thing, since I usually played the game without sound. But now that you mention it, this does sound pretty cool. I'd like to see it done as well, if it's possible.

My favorite example was Earth Control... hitting max enemies in a group with multi-hold... FWHOOOOMP!
