Re: Your Devs Ask You

The Secret World had a level-less system which worked very well. Certain skills were required to win against certain enemies (like -regen on a fast-healing creature) so you were gated by ability rather than raw power, which I always considered a very elegant design. But anyway, I promised Consultant...

Re: Guidelines on Names

If there's a profanity filter I really hope there'll also be an option to turn it off. Looking at the way the things censor the most mundane things, I'm convinced that the companies supplying lists of 'bad' words are paid by the word. They make conversations by text impossible. In nearly every game...

Oh dear, they gave me numbers...

So, video #26, "Holiday Invasion and Infusions" ends with a stat screen showing the effects of the various infusions on characters. Which is awesome, but also gives me some hard numbers to make unwarranted and entirely too early extrapolations from :D (serious disclaimer: there's a very good chance ...

Re: Infusions

Regarding Unkillable : This could place a player in a temporary Stasis Bubble , instead of sending them back to a spawn point on defeat. While in the Bubble, you would be immune to targeting, Friendly Buffs, and attacks. On team play, it would be a great benefit, that lets the active teammates draw...

Re: Controllers

Good catch. I mentioned above having pets that simply act as a "secondary" control caster, rather than a damage source. I think the AI on that might be simpler too, having only one task. But there are other ways of achieving the same feel without having pets. I'd be happy with out pets on controller...

Re: Controllers

Getting the pet changed everything for me, as a controller, in the late game. For me, that experience is something that needs to be considered carefully. I can see the benefit to having powers be something you look forward to, rather than just feeling, "Oh, look, another single-target mez, yay". Ho...

Re: Currently Watching Sword Art Online

Into horror? Parasyte or Elfen Lied are classics.
Elfen Lied was a bit too bleak for my tastes - I don't mind horror, but that was just spiteful :P

Re: Currently Watching Sword Art Online

I started watching "Hundred" but it didn't really grab me. Will give it another look. Definitely second the recommendation on "Overlord" - a friend of mine loved the manga and was constantly bugging me to try it. I'm lazy, so picked it up the moment the anime came out :P If you liked Neon Genesis Ev...

Re: Possible PVP/PVE Raid Idea

Destiny 2 actually has a new game mode like this - two teams fight through AI enemies collecting energy from them you can use to summon bosses into the rival teams area to slow them down. You also get the option to send one person from your team across to harass your opponents too. Apart from the la...

Re: Controllers

But I also think it's the minority view for Controllers. Most Controllers really loved their pets. If pets aren't in the set at release, I think people would understand. But if they're not in at all, I think most CoH Controllers would feel there's something missing. My 2 cents. It's an understandab...

Re: Infusions

I certainly wasn't expecting any of those features for launch, just curious if you were open to the idea :) List of possible "bonuses": - Run/jump/fly speed - Range/cone/AoE increase - Knockback/knockdown increase - Knockback/knockdown resistance - Momentary Invulnerability/Unkillable* - Brief Incre...

Re: Infusions

Are you thinking of sticking to the "basic" boosts, like damage, accuracy, etc.? Or maybe have the highest tiers provide other boosts, like small amounts run speed, or cooldown reduction? Being able to add small "extra" effects to what you craft would be an excellent reason to use player-made infusi...
