Re: Pool/Supporting Powers

If you want a Controller that could walk through mobs with ease, I have one for you: Fire/Kin. Pop out your flaming butt monkeys of doom, drop a fulcrum shift, and watch whatever you jumped into the middle of die. It worked amazingly well in Peregrine on Carnies and the Malta. It was quite fun to s...

Re: Buffing Poll (Dec 11) is a Dangerous Poll

Um. Just to note something.... It would be quite viable to have buffs (or debuffs) without limits... you just need to have a conversion function. For example, you can keep adding +Defense buffs. Say, +10, or +50, or +125, or whatever. Then, you end up with a total Defense Value... and your opponent'...

Re: Repeating the Poll Questions

You should have a poll about repeating polls, and repeat that poll regularly :p

Re: Channeling Poll Question

I think that there is some assumption that Channeled powers would not have cooldowns. Personally, I see no reason why a channeled power could not also be limited by having a cooldown, thus eliminating the issue where characters just channel in combat.

Re: Looking for Group!

I remember LFG in CoH it was a great way to get a group together to run stuff you couldn't solo in the game. The sad part was for some reason I always got epic fail parties(maybe just my luck). I found that many times I had more fun in the epic fail parties than at any other time. Partly because it...

Re: Pool/Supporting Powers

how to level him on a server with a light load? For me, the key to leveling Controllers had two aspects: 1: The damage that Controllers did was surprisingly good. Everyone thought that they were weak because mobs died slowly... but that was largely due to the DoT aspect of the main single-target at...

Re: Will buffs stack like in CoX?

I support the idea of stacking buffs, but also the idea that CoH's style of linear buff stacking was problematic. If you had three characters that buffed Defense by 25%, the first character would lower the chance of mobs from 50% to 25%, which mitigates 50% of the incoming damage. The second charact...

Re: gameplay...to twitch or not to twitch

I liked some of the ideas in CO, with some abilities working better with good twitch abilities. And I also liked how CoH did not require it. I think a good compromise would be to have some or most powersets have a few twitch-oriented abilities (like a Block power, or a powers whose activation builds...

Re: Number of active hotkeys / toolbars

For games like CoH, where you do not have a default attack, it is important to have several attack options available. Also, I did not much like the "set and forget" defensive sets heavy with toggles and with few click powers... they were simple to play, and I found that boring. Regen or control or d...
