Re: Kickstarter is Cancelled
Why not start with the same thing COH had ? The "starter zone" introduced you to your hero. You ran around a few blocks of an instanced world killing stuff and gaining a few levels (maybe 3?..I'm sorry it has been a while). Then you were transported to Atlas Park to begin your adventure. Why not gi...

Re: What is the Starboard Lounge for?
Flagwaver walks into the lounge groggily. He walks up to the bar and grumbles something. You aren't sure, but it could be cookie, possibly coffee. The bar-tending droid pours a muddy black substance that looks like steaming tar. He takes a sip and consciousness returns to his zombie-like visage. The...

Re: What is the Starboard Lounge for?
seeing the confusing looks on all the patrons faces as i leave the the starboard lounge. I shake my head and say to my self " self they need more spirits " "We already had that problem and I don't want to see them back," Flagwaver says from the bar. "Thankfully, one of the waitresses new a guy who ...

Re: Kickstarter is Cancelled
For my part, I would like to see a good storyline that can be followed and has exposition about the world. I love a good storyline that fits with the action. A reason why we should go clear out an office building of thugs or venture into a cargo hold to search for item X. Gameplay is great, especial...

Re: What is the Starboard Lounge for?
The problem is that the bow is straight up and the stern is straight down. In which case, the port and starboard would be unknownable without knowing the physical top and bottom of the ship in transit. I would love to see the "Pocket D" type club be called the Starboard Lounge and be located in the ...

Re: A few questions
What I have seen so far seems to combine the best parts of SWG with COH.6) They plan on having a character creator that is more robust than the one that CoH had, although it may be a patch or two after release before we see the full potential.

Re: KICKSTARTER IS LIVE!!!
All eyes are on SoH I bet. CoT and VO team members are watching this KS closely, and reading these forums, guarantee you that ;). I would not be at all surprised if they ended up trying to light a fire under their designers' butts to try and throw something else out so they aren't completely left i...

Re: What is the Starboard Lounge for?
**hands you a whisky and a conundrum**
If the bow is straight up, the stern is straight down, and there is no top or bottom to the ship, which side of the compass points toward the starboard?

Re: Magic/Psychic Origins
Technically speaking, City of Heroes was science fiction. You have high tech humans (Malta) alongside alien invaders (Rikti) and magical people (Carnies). Even more, look at the various divisions of the city: DATA, MAGI, GIFT, ELITE, and SERAPH covering Tech, Magic, Mutant, Natural, and Scientific. ...

Re: A Few Points About Game Mechanics (1)
I believe the idea is more along the lines of the inherent attack power that each character received in CoX based on their origin.

I wish. They were deleted about a year after CoH closed its doors. These would be fun to watch. Do you still have them somewhere? Vimeo or Dropbox?

Re: What exactly do we get for a Kickstarter pledge and why is it so expensive?
I’ve run a half-dozen kickstarter projects and three projects from other crowd-funding sites. I’ve had six that went through and were fully funded (my first two flopped and the fourth was taken down after I got a contract to support it). In my experience, there are three things that you can do to be...

Re: Pool/Supporting Powers
If you want a Controller that could walk through mobs with ease, I have one for you: Fire/Kin. Pop out your flaming butt monkeys of doom, drop a fulcrum shift, and watch whatever you jumped into the middle of die. It worked amazingly well in Peregrine on Carnies and the Malta. It was quite fun to se...
