Re: Operation Valhalla Keys Have Been Sent

It worked. Just ran the launcher. It updated and eight hours after starting I managed to log in. I missed the big event so I didn't stay long.

At launch you're going to need far more bandwidth for updates, 8 hours for 7GB is pretty poor!

Re: When Should We Repeat the Invasion Event?

Any time/date will be fine for me, we're still under lockdown here so I don't have to worry about getting up early to go to work or anything lol

I didn't manage to get into this event on Saturday due to the incredibly low download rate. Less than 50% downloaded after five hours!

Re: Norton showing link to Beta event client NOT SECURE.

Not secure doesn't mean it carries a virus. All that means is that it wasn't created by one of the well known wealthy software labs that want you to use their products by scaring you away from the others. If in doubt, submit the file to https://www.virustotal.com . If if passes those 70+ scans, it's...

Re: Operation Valhalla Keys Have Been Sent

Key just arrived via email. I've registered that. I'll let the thing update and see how it goes, I'll let you know if it works. I'm on unlimited fibre so if I have to download it all again it won't be a problem (apart from the wasted time). I've grabbed that VC++ runtime and installed it just in cas...

Re: Operation Valhalla Keys Have Been Sent

I just started up the old client launcher and it's patching now, 7421.4 MB. It's doing it at a very slow rate though (less then 1Mbps) so it's going to take a while. Don't know if it'll let me in when it's finally done, will I need a new key? Guess I'll find out... hopefully some time today.

Well, I didn't sign up because there was no indication of where or how to do so... Guess I must have missed something...

Re: Max Raid group size

I think I've been using the wrong language about raids. What we are actually looking at are big battles, which are open to everyone, not end-game content, and can work out differently depending upon how many players participate. You just come and join the fight (or do not). Very casual. Very fun. B...

Re: Feedback on the Twin Swords Powerset

Speed looks ok, apart from the global cooldown of course, those things are *really* annoying but the lack of any impact mechanics makes the fight look a bit stilted. Characters should at least flinch when hit or have some sort of visual indication other than the health bar going down a bit. Ideally,...

Sounds as if you upset someone who added you to every mailing list in existence! Bit annoying when that happens, hope you get it sorted soon!

Was great to be able to get back in again so thanks for that. Hopefully some useful date was obtained. I wish I'd been able to spend more time online. Hope everyone's ok over there. Anyway, it's all looking good :)

Re: viewing enemies from a distance

Yeah. The name plates scale with distance, they really shouldn't do that. If you're close enough for the nameplate to be visible, it should be a normal readable size.

NPC melee are a sitting duck for flying ranged attackers

NPC's will need some way of mitigating damage from players hovering out of their reach or pulling them down. At present they're a sitting duck for any player with flight and a ranged attack. Nice easy exp but not much of a challenge!

Camera movement

At some stage, hopefully the camera movement could be smoothed a bit. At present it's really jerky and disconcerting even with the mouse sensitivity turned down. Maybe it needs a short period of acceleration and deceleration or something like that. Also, a strange thing happened when I went into the...
