Re: CoH greatness, one often overlooked thing done right

There was a little less cheese as you leveled up - stuff on PI / Praetorean earth blue missions. Endgame Incarnate DA / save destroyed Praetorean earth missions were SUPER SRS. Still some humor though (watch the opening cutscene of the Behavior Adjustment Facility trial, Mother Mayhem is in full ham...

Re: What stage does the game need to be in for you to play at launch (not beta testing)?

The Carnival of shadows arc (where your contact turns evil) was a lot of fun. My favorite mission arcs when i first leveled to 50 in I1 days were the PI Praetorian missions. Currently on the homecoming server I'm playing through the Night Ward and Dark Astoria incarnate arcs. Very interesting story.

I never tried CO or its creator, what features did it have that were so good?

OBS Studio is free an open source, might work better than a trial/pirated fraps

Re: SoH/Community Discord?

Should I look for a dev to volunteer to jump onto Discord more often? I mean, you are already pretty active and responsive on the forums. Most of us in the discord just BS and titter about each new video that gets released, popping in for alpha tests and login events is good for now with occasional...

Re: Secret real COH server has been active since 2012/2013

I would expect a lot of 32-50 player servers (a good reasonably modern PC with a business level internet connection could handle that much) coming online. This may be 'neat' for the nostalgia, but I cannot see many of these micro-servers staying active for very long. Once people get a chance to try...

Re: SoH/Community Discord?

The discord server is lightly active, but a dev or two sometimes peeks at it (or at least is online) from when they joined for the login alpha.

Re: Can We Have A Legacy Naming System?

You probably can't protect anonymity without making Character names unique. For example if two people wanted to make the character "Gemini" you'd have to differentiate between Gemini@Gemini and Gemini@GladDog That said - If you're allowing spaces and numbers and things in character names, unique nam...

Re: How do you feel about...HERDING??

Personally, I hated herding. If I was playing my tank, I was expected to herd. If I was playing a blaster, I couldn't use my AoE attacks. If I didn't conform to those roles, I was booted from the team... I thought the idea was to play the character *I* wanted to play! -Wolf sends It wasn't just tan...

Re: How do you feel about...HERDING??

As a gravity/kinetics controller... Herding was always hilarious to watch and participate in.

Re: Secret real COH server has been active since 2012/2013

Regardless of this news. Ship of Heroes is my home and has my loyalties. I'm with you, and SoH 100%. Re: Private servers - they tend to lack the overall community and permanence of a real, full game. I might've mentioned this over in the discord channel - I used to help run a Ragnarok Online privat...
