Re: What was the single greatest achievement in the development of Ship of Heroes during 2018?

I voted Login Test, because that event will always be the 1st time I stepped foot in Apotheosis City; the 1st time I chatted with fellow heroes, walked in the park at sunrise, and dipped my toes in the lake. It was awesome! Close 2nd was the Combat Alpha, which put a big ol' smile on my face for a g...

Re: The January 2019 Plan

Happy New Year, Consultant! 2019 is going to be a big year. Your team has shown a level of dedication and transparency that is so impressive and reassuring. The login test was a big and very successful milestone. It was great to experience the positive community you've fostered from the get-go from ...

Re: Login test livestreams @ 10 AM ET

That big blue guy (Big Blu!) on the far right of the MO screenshot was me. Got dc'd a couple times, but fps was very stable at 60+ most of the time, and never dropped below 30 even when zoomed on the hero-ball after the group summon. i7-7700 CPU @ 3.6GHz 16 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Thanks for ...

Re: Login Test woo hoo!

10 AM, bright and early (for a Saturday anyways!) I have 3 alarms set to make sure I don't oversleep. I rocked out at the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show in Cincinnati tonight, but I'm going to try not to stay up too late, I promise! See you under the Arch, heroes!

Macro_Inf_Dmg_Eathotdog  Macro_Inf_Acc_Lightningbolt 8-) Don't tie the infusion to anything...leave that up to the player. Maybe it fits their hero that they keep superdogs on the ready, or maybe they know a cantrip or meditation they can whip out for a boost. It opens up more RP possibilit...

Re: Donations to Ship of Heroes

It is just today - 1 day before my birthday in fact - that I became aware my favorite game of all times will be reborn! I donated at once as a Beta tester :) Rebirth will be GREAT! Thank You for all the heart and good work (and also money...) you all put into it. This was me just a few weeks ago, m...

Re: Apotheosis city is looking absolutely beautiful!

Oh boy...another video to watch an almost unhealthy number of times... I'm so impressed with the amount of work HG has put into the city so far. It looks vibrant and alive, and the day/night cycle really makes it...real! I absolutely can't wait to kick some Promethean butt with my fellow h...

Re: What you want to see next question

I voted for a new combat video, just for the fun of it! Something I can watch 50 times while development progresses. It could show off how the gameplay, baddie AI, and powersets are coming along. But I'm open to anything at this point! :D

Thank you for the snapshot, Consultant! I really like the behind-the-scenes view. Keep up the great work! And I'll pour a 40 on the ground for the deceased video card...sacrifice for the greater good.

Re: Consequences of being defeated

What if it's some kind of hybrid penalty? The hero could accrue an XP/Dust debt after falling in combat. Maybe you only gain 50 or 75% XP and Dust until you work off some XP debt (10% of current lvl/death?) plus some Dust debt (1,000 x lvl/death), with a max of 5 deaths considered for debt, and no p...

Re: City Of Titans working over there

Once I finally stumbled upon Ship of Heroes, it hit me that Heroic's approach is much more realistic, and much more intimate to the player base. Don't launch with everything...all the levels/zones, all the archetypes, all the powers. Launch with a solid foundation with a ton of community input, and ...

Re: New Poll Questions

OK, what additional poll questions should we ask? And on that topic, is it too dumb to ask how long different kinds of missions should last, for a typical player, at the standard level of difficulty? One of our devs told me we could formulate such a question in a manner that would allow people to g...

Re: AE Theory

Avatar PDM, do you think the AE in COH allowed you to customize your enemies, and to create new ones? I recall if differently, but then I did not create AE missions myself back in the day, but I did play them. I cannot recall an enemy that was uniquely different from game content. Except that for a...

Re: should we link achievements with perks?

I'm good with a 2% cap on the perk (1% - 5,000 (2,500?), 2% - 10,000 (5,000?)). Anything that incentivizes any inevitable baddie grind is a good thing; at least you know you're working toward a more powerful hero. I like the idea of really pinning down the villain group's tactics to gain an edge. To...
