AgreedI agree with this, but yeah seems solid on paper. This is definitely a "play and see how it feels" thing, but on paper that looks perfectly reasonable to me.

Re: Q&A with Consultant
I ended up quitting CoH because Cryptic's response to this was to nerf new tactics they didn't like into the ground, rather than roll with what players found fun and find ways to balance it if it's broken. To be fair, sometimes there are broad implications that the community will overlook out of pa...

Re: A Few Points About Game Mechanics (1)
I really agree with this. A pistol really isn't going to fit with all character concepts. This makes our choices 1) use it anyway even if it doesn't fit our character at all 2) refuse to use it, making ourselves weaker for it 3) change our character concept Think 500 years in the future. This isn't...

Re: Kickstarter is Cancelled
I totally mirror what Jester said. I'd be very excited and enthusiastic about supporting SoH as soon as feasible if some kind of veteran/early supporter system can be implemented. It seems like there are a few dozen of us dedicated forum posters here who would happily do the same and prop up the ga...

Re: Kickstarter is Cancelled
Hey y'all, sorry been a few days for me. Yeah, can't say I'm surprised this got cancelled. Disappointing, but was I think a little optimistic. What do we need? Something playable AND polished. VO has playable, after a fashion, but looks terrible. Get me Apotheosis City, with 5-10 levels of street-s...

Gor what it's worth, I think both of the previous posts make excellent points about raiding.

Re: Alien Raids question
Not just for me... I've seen several sites that point out that no more than 20% of players do raids. So, if all you really have at endgame is raids, then you are catering to the 20% and not catering to the 80%. All games put a limit on how much you can raid, why should this game be different? What ...

Re: Alien Raids question
I reject any schedule on alien raids. For me that would just destroy the immersion. They are aliens, they should have their own agenda. If they are scheduled they would feel just like a game mechanic and not like real adversaries. Make them unpredictable, let them attack with short notice ("we just...

Re: Alien Raids question
IMO, there are two things to consider. 'Pop-up' alien raids are fun, but they should be random and rare, a couple of times a week. Make them something to get excited about! I used to love the pop-up Rikti raids in various zones, but they would become an annoyance at times because they were so frequ...

My wife tells me that I ring the devil out in her...probably true, too. Maybe in your case, too? It's ok, my husband would tell you I'm not a she, I'm a she-devil anyway.
Whoops! Apologies!
When will you be writing about the other details you've got to see?!
I'm working on it. ^.^

Re: Alien Raids question
I like raiding, and don't mind the 'learning curve' for new raids. The question involves frequency. I voted for as often as players start it. Probably only allow players to get the reward once a day, but they can join the raid team as often as they want. This is assuming raids in SoH will be simila...
