Re: Secret real COH server has been active since 2012/2013

Re: the private server - I can understand the resentment, but it seems like wasted energy. If funds were misused under the pretext of advancing a game that would be open to the public, then I definitely understand the anger. With that said, there are more productive things to expend energy on. Would...

Re: Enhancement creations? combo's?

Ultimately, I am pretty sure the dev team wants to stay as close to the CoH system as they legally can. Well, is there any idea of "how close is too close"? What might be acceptable? I know that a few other games deal with gear in the traditional way: gear with stats that you stick on part of your ...

Re: Enhancement creations? combo's?

I still believe that the way it was done in CoH is the way to go - no (traditional) loot drops, no gear to worry about slotting - only enhancements that were slotted directly into the powers. I like the way that it gives the player the ability to customize their powers to their taste. More range? Su...

Re: Controllers?

Part of the draw for me, when playing controllers, (aside from being able to lock everything down) was that they were difficult to level up solo. Call me a masochist, but it took some real patience - especially with my Ice/FF controller. Getting a pet at the higher levels was almost like a reward, "...

Re: "Meat Shield" Power for Tanks?

Yeah, seems like that's treading into territory of Defenders and Devastators. If anything, maybe give the tanks an ability that'll reduce threat generated by their teammate(s) -- not redirecting it, though. That's opening up a griefing can that's better left closed, IMO. On the other hand, I don't s...

Re: Epic Classes

I never cared much for Khelds in CoH, but if I think if you're gonna do an epic AT, that's the way to do it. Jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. Ideal for the experienced player - especially if you find yourself in a PUG that's lacking in something - tanking, dps, heals, cc - so you can switch roles...

Don't get me wrong - I'm super SUPER looking forward to SoH, but I get bored easily and bouncing back and forth would be my ideal.

Well, if it isn't included at launch, I'm sure someone (much more technologically advanced than I am) will put one together. I agree - once I found out about MIDS, I never looked back.

Re: Scaling

Personally I don’t want everything scalable. I would like invasion events to be scalable so that everyone can join in the fun but normal street thugs, missions and stuff should have levels. /agree. The first time I heard of sidekicking, my mind was blown. Later on, we had event mobs that scaled and...

Money headed to "not SoH" = Lame :(
You're not wrong in your decision! This may seem like a stupid question, but I'm assuming donations are cumulative? One could donate $10 here and $10 there, and build up to the higher donor levels?

Re: A Call to Arms!

Oh, and where can I set up a recurring monthly donation?
Monthly recurring is a pretty great idea - this is going to be a subscription game anyway, right? Any more information on this?

Re: Please make us run around this city

Not to sound like a broken record, but I think CoH got it right. You could get a quasi travel power - hover, combat jumping - and then a little later on, you got the real thing. You could also get swift and/or hurdle which, +sprint, made getting around a little quicker at those low levels. And, as w...

Re: What was something you wanted to do in CoH but never got the chance?

I always wanted to build a good MA story arc, but never got around to it. A friend of mine is a fantastic writer, and he did it... so it made me kinda jealous. I also wanted to finish out at least a couple of toons with sets/HOs, but I had so many alts that I never got around to finishing any. I got...

Re: How do you feel about...HERDING??

I only played tanks for fun.. That right there. The entire reason for playing was to have fun. If you're not: do something else. It's not like there aren't options. For me, tanks were always the most fun to play. Didn't kill things the fastest, but it was still a lot of fun. Granted, herding was po...
