Re: Update on the CCT Beta

It started working today, and is working every time now, so must have been just a couple glitches on my end.

Re: Update on the CCT Beta

My key took and everything, and the file starts downloading. When it gets to 4000 mb it kicks out with an error about downloading the patch. Is there anything I can do to work around it? I've tried to turning off my virus scanner, but that didn't help. Figured out why that was, but now it won't go t...

Re: Teenage Superheroes

Out of curiosity, is your intention for your group to be an RP group? If so, when you get it made, color me interested.

Hopefully there are pieces to simulate a Golden Age costume.

Re: SOH Endgame content (idea)

I can't remember how CoH did the teleporters, but you could make them for zones while leveling up. I think that's the best way, so you can use your group base as a bus terminal of sorts.

Re: Character Names

I agree with the want for global names instead of unique names. It keeps down the need to trade for names for a concept that may not be as fun to roleplay or run as it seemed at the beginning.

Also keeps down names being locked by accounts that have gone inactive.

Re: If you were going to make a game what would it be?

I'd make either a turn based strategy rpg (think Final Fantasy Tactics for instance) but with superheroes and optional missions where you take specific heroes out on a patrol. This would encourage players to use all the characters so they don't end up having to miss an optional mission because their...

Re: Character Slots

I really hope that we eventually get additional costume slots. I have fond memories of roleplaying beach parties, and it would be hard to do that if we're stuck in hero garb all the time.

Re: Control Powers

When I tried a Force Field defender, I took the Intangible power, thinking I could use it as a way to break up aggro and thus help the team. The only time I actually used the power, I got no end of flak for taking it, and the team was quite upset that they "had to wait for the mob to become targetab...

Re: Names and globals discussion

While it may be an unpopular opinion at the moment, and the cause of it may be rare, I would like to see non-unique names with globals. I could see a group that plays together playing a concept of a Multiple Man style character. With non-unique names, they wouldn't have to resort to using upper case...

Re: Top 3 things you want included

I think that whatever method they use for teleportation, it should be able to be used in a mission map. It kind of removes functionality for getting away from bad situations, which other travel powers will be able to do. Personally I enjoyed how it worked in CoX. If they can't go that route, then CO...

Re: Poll: Which Archetype Will You Create First?

Currently, I'm thinking Devastator, but will probably quickly have a Brawler alt.

I tend to have alt-itus if CoX was any indication, so what I start with is merely a gate opener.

Re: Suggestions

I'm hoping that like in CoX, Defenders go beyond just healing. Force Fields and the like were useful to prevent the damage from being taken in the first place. Empathy set was more of a fail safe for the other sets in my humble opinion.

roleplaying supergroups

I know this is really early, but early is better than too late. Is anyone planning on a roleplaying supergroup? If so, what theme would it be. While I'm hoping for classic super heroes or Legion of Superheroes homages, I'm open to any ideas you all come up with. I just want to start roleplaying as s...

Re: We are Heros

Graphically, what would be the difference between a defeated foe and a killed foe? Both would lie motionless on the floor. In CoX there were people that referred saying they killed the mobs instead of defeating them. I always said I was defeating them instead of killing them. I agree with you that s...
