Re: How important is it that crafting be including in SoH at launch?

My opinion is that crafting should not be part of the game at launch. Crafting should be a way to fill-in gaps in the game. We won't identify the gaps until we have played for a bit. Also, please do not make a crazy number of distinct components. If crafting is a developed skill, please do not make ...

Re: Inspirations as food question

This is what I think of when I think of food inspirations: Hero 1: Help me! I am bleeding to death! Hero 2: Eat a pretzel! You know I like your black humour :) back to the topic - I think I too could settle with that word spark :) I can be tech, it can be supernatural, it can be cosmic, it can be m...

Re: What's an Alpha?

With regard to automated testing:

I think it would be cool to see the results of randomly generating a team of characters, then have a neural network control the characters and optimize a mission run. I would like to see how the computer plays differently from humans.

Re: What's an Alpha?

I thought I should let you all now that we'll publish a newsletter today on our views on stress testing, alphas, betas, etc. There are some cool screen captures, including a couple from some of the automated testing we do to get ready for things like the login test. Automated testing is critical --...

Re: Things I want and don't want, what about you ?

I am a junkie for collectables, I loved the badges in CoH, but if there is going to be something similar I really hope that they are attainable in a pleasurable way. I hated it when CoH introduced a badge for discovering a game error/glitch, and then the error had to be looked into and approved bef...

Re: Maximum Raid Size in MMOs?

If I remember correctly, if an instance of a zone was full and you tried to get in, when you clicked on the door a list would come up showing all the instances but you could not click on a full instance. As I recall, Hive showed the number 50 when an instance was full. One evening my wife was on the...

Re: What kind of power you are hoping to see or want to suggest?

I'd love to be able to run around on my Spine/Regen or Spine/Dark again. Both really fun builds to me. On my spines/regen scrapper, I slotted all the spines powers with 'slow' sets. I loved watching the mobs slowly run away from my area-of-effect toggle. I did not do as much damage, but mobs were l...

Re: The best things about CoH

Lots of good mentions here. The Costume Creator was indeed how I jedi mind-tricked the wife into playing. As soon as she sat down, saw the endless options, she was HOOKED. We spent a good number of years running around the City together being super. I wish I'd have shown it to her earlier! I think ...

Is it me, or are there very few freedom server posts? My wife and I played on freedom so that we could always get into a task force. It had a good sized population.

Re: Control Powers

For each type of debuffing, I would like to see a powerset that focuses on it. Some debuffs are way more powerful that others (stun over immobilize), the debuffs with more impact could have shorter duration, less likely to hit, etc. Another way to go would be for controlling powersets to focus on si...

Re: What kind of power you are hoping to see or want to suggest?

I really hope the developers are working on trick arrow (primary) and archery (secondary) powersets. I loved my trick arrow defender in COH!
