I think the subscription model is the best one for the health of the company, given the nature of MMOs. Buy-to-play works best for titles that are intended to be "the hit of 2018" and are then expected to fade out and be replaced by something else. You don't need a constant cash flow for those games...

Controls and Cameras

One of the things I appreciated about CoH was the control system and camera manipulations. I hope SoH has a near duplicate of those movement mechanics. They were very natural right from the start.

SpatialOS would provide Ship of Heroes a set of Logic Workers which would enable them to create very compelling AI...
SpatialOS seems pretty interesting, but it looks like it doesn't work with Unreal yet.
