Re: Color Wheel Question

I used to work as a Master Tinter in the paint industry. When I say Master Tinter, that is not a trade, like carpenter or plumber. That is comparable to a Master Plumber or a Master Carpenter. Starting in 1991 I have matched about 85,000 individual colors, most of which I did by eye. I was in the in...

Re: FPS reports

You won't see many games made for Windows AND Macs any more. Apple got rid of OpenGL and Vulkan support, and only support games using their own API called Metal. So, if you make a game in Windows, you need to completely remake it from scratch for Mac. no porting allowed any more! Because of that, on...

Re: FPS reports

Update; I hooked system 3 up to a better internet connection ( a wire) and the FPS went up considerably. The FPS is still too low, but barely too low. FPS of 22-25 were common, although they dropped into the 15-19 range a lot. Peak was 28 FPS. I would say the better internet raised the average from ...

Re: Are consoles the way to go for MMO?

If they do a port to consoles in a few years, it will be to the XboX first. If you make a game for Win10, the port to XboX is built in. Not that it simple by any means, you need programming skills to do the port. But a port to XboX would be measured in months, instead of the years it would take for ...

FPS reports

I've run the game on three systems so far. Tomorrow I add a 4th. System 1 - Desktop - i7 - 6700 24GB RAM game on an SSD ATI Radeon RX-480 8GB vid Game runs extremely well at max graphics, rarely seeing an FPS rate below 40 and most of the time staying in the 60-80 range. System 2 - Laptop - i7-7700 ...

Re: CCT Beta

I'm looking forward to testing more! You should not have to wait too much longer! Next up is an invasion event. Prepare to put some Nagdellians in their place! This will be a combat beta. There is no exact date on this. HOWEVER... Save at least one or two of your outfits/ power setups. If you save ...

Re: Go to Win10 right away!

Just another scary tech story GladDog. Hackers can't hack, what they can't see, if you aren't hooked to the net. Even on VPN's that Anti-Virus houses have, and still update their engines to protect Win7 and up . The dilemma is that once MS quits supporting Win7, AV makers will one-by-one quit suppo...

Re: Update on the CCT Beta

Has Consultant's wife given him access to his computer yet? Last I heard, she had keyboard face, from passing out in the CCT :P LOL fortunately, he has several SoH ready computers at his house. Hey, so do I! Once the CCT beta test goes live, expect some reports on how well the game plays on a wide ...

Re: CCT Beta First Emails Sent Out

So basically, I need to know what I have to do to participate in this beta. I thought I met the requirements, but didn't get the email. But maybe I was wrong. I didn't want to miss out.
They are still sending out invites, so you may not have received yours yet. The minimum donation is $50

Re: Update on the CCT Beta

You can save as many designs as you want. I would probably only save one or two, as more costumes are being made all the time.

AND HOWDY EULB! Long time no see!

Re: Update on the CCT Beta

Here is a cool beans desktop that would play SoH just fine, and has a ton of upgradability - All you need to make this a monster is to add a hard drive (an SSHD hybrid SSD/ HDD would be an ideal complement to the included NvME SSD) and a nice video card. But the Vega 11 graphics built onto the 3400G...

Re: Update on the CCT Beta

Well, here is what you can do...

You don't live that far from me (Pottstown PA, about 4-5 hours). Order parts for a new PC, and when you get them...

ROAD TRIP!

Come on over and I will assemble a PC for you.

Re: Go to Win10 right away!

The interface for Win10 is much, much different from Win8. I was an alpha tester for Win8, and we told them over and over again to NOT release with that interface. The OS was great, but the GUI was HORRID. I worked with it for almost a year in alpha and beta and never did quite understand it. In fac...
