Re: Speed of Melee Combat

While I don't mind combat being a bit faster than COH, I really don't want anything at all like an action game. I'm getting a bit old for twitch reflex stuff (and never really like it much when younger). I also think that if you include sets which have combo mechanics, you should also have ones whic...

Re: Crafting

While I have no objection to the idea of crafting, I'm certainly hoping this isn't a primarily gear based game. Something akin to enhancements and the IO system of COH would be fine. Anything like DCUO would make me greatly regret putting money into this game. As for crafting making the best stuff, ...

I have to expect 20+. It will probably replace much of my time on Homecoming.

Re: Dont you wish all these small game companies would join forces?

I put money into CoT all those years ago and get periodic updates. They amount to much ado about nothing. Personally I think the only threat to SoH is the revival of CoH servers. I've been enjoying that quite a bit. However, it's old content and honestly I don't really see them offering anything new...

Re: What kind of pay model would you prefer?

I like option 1. I've never seen free to play be particularly good for the community in a game.

I can see why lifetime subscriptions are a bad thing also, since they require good management of that money to make it last, which isn't necessarily easy.

Re: What stage does the game need to be in for you to play at launch (not beta testing)?

I can remember back in I2 people would recruit low level people (under 40, but able to get to the ferry in Talos) to join their team so they could get more mobs in their missions. We'd get paid influence, and would sit around and chat. Was the Shadow Shard in I2 also? I can't recall. Probably not I ...

COH started with level 40 as the cap. I believe 50 became the cap in I2.

I concur with 3.5. Just so there's something to do beyond street sweeping, but we don't need all missions ready. Just some is fine.

Re: How important is it that crafting be including in SoH at launch?

I'd go with not important simply because I cannot imagine a crafting system is a simple thing to add, so it would likely delay release. I'd like to see it eventually, but I'm in no rush. I'd see it as something to do to pass time once the freshness of the basic content has worn off.

Re: Tempest Legion alumni?

Yeah, we chewed that up real easy.

I still remember when the respec went online back in I2 and it was near impossible. I was on an AR/Dev blaster as my main and must have failed it 4 times that night. That night convinced me to play tankers.

Re: Tempest Legion alumni?

I was in Tempest Legion later on. Was in a smaller supergroup which sort of dissolved as time went on earlier in my COH career.

Think I probably played as Morris the Spider(Arachnos Soldier) most in the last few years and I had tons of tanks.
