Tell us more in the Current Polling Discussion

I use both keyboard and mouse, mainly because my mouse is an MMO mouse so I have plenty of buttons on it.
I tend to bind a primary ability bar (of 12 items) to keyboard, close to my movement keys so I can use them with my left hand.
I then bind numpad and numpad with modifiers (Ctrl, Shift, Alt) to additional bars, I can control those with the thumb grid on my mouse.

For those wanting to use a game controller, we have gamepad commands setup. All are shown here: https://www.shipofheroes.com/commands/ , under Game Support on this website. I am told also that they can be reprogrammed.

fwiw, I have a good friend who, while he has finally made the switch from console to pc for gaming, still uses a controller to do so. Apparently he plays the DC online mmo with a controller with good success, but I know nothing about that so I don't how similar the power system is.

Controller support is an absolute must for me, I have problems with my hands. 🙁
Rune, thank you for letting us know. What are your favorite controllers? Are there any PC games (reasonably similar to ours) you recommend we check out for inspiration?
We think UE4, the game engine in which Ship of Heroes is being developed, has native support for game controllers. Would you be willing to join the next Beta and test it for us?

I am a mouse guy, I do almost everything with a mouse, I'll press a key occasionally when needed, but it has to be a mouse for me. that's why it is so critical for me to slow the mouse down. currently the mouse speed in game is just too fast even when I place the slider all the way to the left.
You are obviously aware that you can adjust the mouse sensitivity in the UI customization panel https://www.shipofheroes.com/c.....ng-the-ui/. We responded to players feedback and made more adjustments in the middle of the last Beta. If any player has still experienced oversensitivity after that last adjustment, we would appreciate your letting us know.

Sometimes You Feel Like a Tank, Sometimes You Don't

I prefer to use the keyboard only. I admit sometimes it´s faster to use the mouse for example if you have to target one of your own team members to heal him/her. Tab targeting is a disatvantage here but for all other gameplay I would use the keyboard. I don´t like it when you have to switch your hand between mouse and number pad when the action is on screen. Also the communication with team members is impossible if you use the mouse because your hand is away from the keyboard.
Maybe I´m old-fashioned regarding this but for me it´s still the keyboard that feels best.

Or does it depend on what you are trying to do or on other factors. Some members of our team have passionate preferences while others will use a mix and match approach.
Are there control methods you consider best practice for specific tasks? Have you seen anything in other games that you would recommend as exceptionally good?
