TeamSG, we are sorry about your not receiving your key. We have had delivery issues with keys. We are currently working on an alternate solution.
We are going to have another Beta focused on base building at the end of July, and we hope you will join us.

Hi, I've been gone a while but have donated $125. I see my login doesn't work anymore.2 Questions:
1 - Are the servers up all the time?
2- I think I need to pay a monthly subscription now to get a new access key? Thanks!
 Â
Welcome back! Thank you very much for your donation! Your return is timely: there is beta coming up May 5 though 8. You can sign up by clicking the "Beta Sign Up" button on the menu. Since we have not launched yet, participation is free. As for access without time restriction, we are not there yet. It is our practice to do limited time, feature focused Betas. This allows us to get feedback, act on it, and perfect the feature being tested.
After the last Beta, we decided to tackle the download and patching experience. After some research, we concluded that Steam offers the best download and patching experience. And we definitely want to provide the best to our players. So, we moved the game to Steam. If you participate in this Beta, we recommend that you delete your existing client to avoid confusion. The download instructions are included in the email with the key.
Don't worry, your SoH account is still valid, and you should be able to use the characters you created last time.

From a purely selfish perspective, I really, really hope that subscription can be bought in blocks, as $15US a month is a very expensive commitment when converted into Australian Dollars. I'd like to see a 3, 6 and 12 month block structure where it's around $12US a month if bought as a 12 month block.
From Consultant in ** you do not have permission to see this link **:
The lack of a cash shop, no gambling boxes, and any other pay to win mechanism means that everyone can buy the same subscription...more money does not get you better in game results.
For the subscription, there will be some savings from buying a longer subscription. But everyone goes into the game on an equal basis.
I don't think the exact savings has been decided at this point.

This'll be the case, more than likely. Pretty standard for an mmo. I just hope that there is no "lifetime" membership...I see that as a death sentence to the game.
Is there any update on information of a possible Alpha launch? I am so looking forward to getting involved with SoH and playing a super hero mmo, everything else really feels..... lacking.

The Supporters beta will be starting as soon as they get a few more things done. Anyone can join this as long as they have donated to the beta tester's level ($25) and they are willing to pay a monthly subscription fee. I have no idea what the fee will be, but I am expecting $15 a month. This money will be used to finish the game. I am hopeful that this will start by the end of February, although it may slip if there are technical difficulties.
The first thing that needs to happen is to upgrade the game engine to UE 4.20. Also, any bugs that pop up after this change need to be squashed.
The team needs to finish the Random Mission Generator. Besides street sweeping, this will be the main thing the players will be doing in the supporters beta. They are working on mission arcs, but these will mostly be tested internally so people get to experience their player arcs at game release.
Besides that there are three short test phases that need to happen;
1 - Character Creation Tool (CCT) test #2 - this will be in a much more polished state than the CCT alpha we had late in 2017. I have no idea if we get to keep these characters or not for the next few tests, hopefully yes!
2 - An Invasion test. This will be an alpha test where 100 supporters resist an alien invasion, probably of Nagdellians, for an hour or more. If enough people are interested (highly likely IMO) then they may have a few of these tests.
3 - Mission series test - this will be a test where teams of players will do dev-made mission arcs.
Once this is all done, and all of the bugs that are found are fixed, and assuming no new major problems arise, the Supporter's beta will be up next!
I don't mind paying for a beta if it helps the game to be made. I just hope the servers are open 24/7 or they only bill you for a month if the servers are up.

I am a former CoH player who played on Champion server with the Watchguard super group, just in the event anyone who was familiar is out there.
I have been observing the development of SoH casually for a few months now and wondered if it is possible to get a playable account and how to go about doing this. I tried finding the information on the forum's but I can't figure out where exactly to start/search.
Does anyone who donates get to play or what's the deal?
Thanks,
CT
